Of Chess and Life

Another old poem. This is a short one from a couple years ago. It’s a bit edgy, but I like it.

Of Chess and Life:

Oh how comforting and peaceful

To be enslaved by the dance

While pondering the next move

Within its’ world entranced

.
Heated with passion

Ruthlessly cold

In defensive fashion

Aggressively bold

.
Predicting in vain

How your plans will unfold

Ridiculous pleasure

Agony untold

.
