About Me
I was born in Donetsk, Ukraine in 1998, while my parents were studying at a university. Shortly thereafter, we returned to the Khabarovsk Krai, in Far East Russia. In 2006, when I was seven years old, my family immigrated to the United States. Specifically – Montana. After three years in Montana, the Great Recession led us to move once again. This time we came to Washington State in 2009. In 2015, at sixteen years old, I repented and gave my life to Jesus Christ. I was baptized in the same year, and I have lived for Jesus ever since.
In 2017, I graduated from high school, began working, and went to college. I never finished a college degree, but I have worked my way through all sorts of various positions in the years since then. For the most part, I have been an office worker; but, when it comes to work, it has always been my dream to write for a living! In the fall of 2020, I began moving in that direction by starting this blog. Also at that time, in the full swing of the pandemic, I met the love of my life. In the late winter of 2021, we were married. Now we are moving forward together, ready to brave whatever challenges life throws at us…
Why I Write
Stories and storytelling have always held an allure for me. When I was very little, I would ‘write books’ by scribbling a few sentences on pieces of paper and then stapling them together. As I grew older, I began to read books and fell in love with literature and the English language. As a young boy, I enjoyed the works of authors such as Robert Lewis Stevenson, Jules Verne, C.S. Lewis, Alexander Dumas, etc. As a teenager, I explored all sorts of different fiction. I especially fell in love with the work of J.R.R. Tolkien. He has had a significant influence on my writing and storytelling style. To this day, my favorite book of all time is The Lord of The Rings.
When I was a teenager, I began to write stories and poems. This passtime of choice grew into a passion. I love telling stories and I love playing with words. The English language is incredibly beautiful and holds an astonishingly vast variety of mechanics suitable for the embellishment of any story and the enrichment of the soul. I hope that every story or poem I share with you, my dear reader, is a work of art.
